The Dyersville Jurassics nipped the league door-mat Burbank Tigers in 11
innings 4 to 3 at the ballpark in a hard fought contest.
The score was tied at 3 after nine. Dyersville came out on top in the 11th
inning. Jorge Cantu reached on an error. Andrew Miller then picked Cantu
off first base. Juan Rivera then drew a walk. Ben Zobrist came up and he
laced a single. Billy Butler came to the plate and singled making Dyersville
the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Dyersville banged
out 9 hits on the night.
Joe Nathan(6-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing no
runs. Miller(4-4) was the losing pitcher in relief.
With the win, Dyersville continued their winning ways; their streak now stands
at 6 games and counting. 'I'm glad to get the win', Nathan said. 'We've got
some good momentum going now.'
